OtterTail Environmental, Inc. provides a variety of services for hydroelectric
projects to support compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
regulations regarding license and relicensing applications. Our staff has been
successfully providing licensing, permitting and other environmental services
to the hydroelectric industry for over nine years.
We have a thorough understanding of FERC’s three licensing application
processes, as well as the Integrated Licensing Process (ILP) rules, and are
able to efficiently guide our clients through the process. Our specialties
(aquatic biology, water quality, and hydrology) provide strong support of the
key issues typical of a hydroelectric project. We possess the ability to
identify what agencies may require in an application, providing for timely
completion of the permitting process.
Our experience allows us to effectively assist our clients in all aspects of
licensing appropriate for their specific needs, including application
preparation, negotiations with federal, state, and local agencies, conducting
environmental studies, and post-license condition implementation. Some of our
services are presented here under FERC Hydroelectric Licensing.
